Dark Mechanicum Tech Priest Dominus

Starting a bit of Dark Mechanicum off with this Tech Priest Dominus model.

It’s the Mechanic Adept Tech Priesnt Domina Melius model from Wargame Exclusive.

Some nice details on this, like the four sets of servo skulls that are docked into the armour shell.

The details on this model, like the articulated carapace armour, give plenty of options for colours, but in addition to the dark greys,I went for some Death Metal metallic with a bronze highlight and Iron Warriors silver with Leadbelcher and the Stormhost Silver highlights.

Suitably grim dark I think, particularly when mated to the Geek Gaming Scenics organ rubble basing material.

So overall, I went for a suitably dark colour scheme with a few dark red accents. I think this sort of approach to the Dark Mech works quite well.

Applied an oil wash which is a rarity for me, but I waited until the whole army was painted and then did the whole lot in one go. Finished off in some anti-shine matt varnish.
