Adding to the collection of Forgeworld terrain, here is the rather large Imperial vehicle emplacement.

This uses a hollow cast technique like the Forgeworld 24×24″ tiles, rather than being a big lump of resin like the Earthshaker Emplacement, which seems strange given they must have been designed and produced in quite close proximity to each other.

This is painted up in the same style as my other Forgeworld pieces from this series. I should make a note of the recipe because the gap between these is now getting a bit longer and it’s getting harder to remember it.

It cost about £22 when it came out in early 2012 and stems from the era of Imperial Sector tiles where Forgeworld made their tiles and terrain pieces out of black resin. There is a video review of this terrain on Youtube from Templars Crusade.

This was released as part of the Forgeworld Winter 2011 update under the title: Imperial Emplacement. Product Code: 99590199118 – listed as a resin scenery piece. Model designed by Blake Spence.

Coming next in the painting Forgeworld series is a Tarantula Emplacement from the Cities of Death series, the Hydra Emplacement and the mighty Downed Valkyrie (secured in pristine box fresh condition). I am looking forward to that one. Oh and I now have a full set of Imperial Sector tiles to make up a 6×4 board but that is a story in it’s own right!
