I wasn’t looking for another Contemptor but this appealed so I bought it back in May 2023. The seller like is no longer trading.

My experience of 3D prints is that there’s a massive range of quality so the seller and I had a long conversation with photos of printed outputs before I placed the order. The quality was as good as promised.

The model came with lots of spare parts in addition to the normal range of bits options to build it so kudos to the seller for chucking those bits in.

40k scale is all over the place at the best of times but most of the bones and skulls must have come from Ogryns to work on this figure.

The visual effect is what appealed rather than the realism and I am pleased with the over all aesthetic. It’s as good as I was hoping from the renders.

The 3D printed last is more brittle than Forgeworld resin so it’s not that easy to work with during assembly, plenty of pins needed for a strong build and some careful drilling needed.

Base is another courtesy of Unreal Wargaming Studios – you have to admire the quality of the work that they produce.

So Ossarion the Osteal has been added to the ranks and the number of Dreadnoughts available to the 19th Company has increased…

Lots of photos of this one!

Trying to show the detail in the model

The base is a great sculpt too.

Note: revisited in October 2024 to add some new photos.

Now has a custom name plate from Versatile Terrain.
