Tactical Claw Marines

Here we have a selection of five marines to be blended into the ranks to form a tactical claw.

There’s a mixture of aftermarket parts and different kits being used for these so I’ll go through the details on each below.

First up let’s look at the claw leader with his hand painted flayed skin cloak. Quite challenging to try and match up the pattern on the inside and outside of the cloak. In hindsight I will thin the edges of those which I will do in future.

Model derived from the new Mark VI Corvus armour sprues with the backpack and banner pole. Cloak if I remember is from one of the Chaos Space Marine sets, Forgeworld head, bits box raid for trophies including some Liber Daemonica small bits hanging from the belt.

This marine has a helm from the Sons of Horus Reaver Attack squad Forgeworld kit.

Rest of the kit is Mark VI Corvus with flayed skin on the forearm is a green stuff sculpt. Liber Daemonica resin piece on the leg and some jewellery chain on the shoulderpad pauldron.

The heavy weapons specialist has the missile launcher from the Chaos Space Marines set.

The crouched pose legs are from Kromlech.

This marine has a different set of legs from the Kromlech set, I think the variety in the poses they offer is a nice way to introduce some variety in the claws.

The helm is from one of the new Chaos Space Marine sets.

The final member of this claw is a communications specialist. One leg is bionic and was one of the options from an Anvil Industries kit that is no longer available

Forgeworld resin back back with a piece of MIG welding wire for a whip aerial, Zinge Industries flexible armoured cabling, Auspex and comms devices from various kits including the original Corvus Marine old hammer plastic kit.
